New Year's Eve Party Recap!
GCA’s ‘New York State of Mind’ New Year’s Eve Party – December 31st, 2022
After a 2 year pandemic induced hiatus the Champagne fountain was filled and the annual GCA New Year’s Eve party was back!
A great time was had by 46 members and friends who joined us to ring in 2023. It was so much fun to catch up with everyone! Fabulous appetizers were enjoyed, followed by delicious and beautiful cupcakes made by Bonnie Townsley and Leslie Blaisdell. Brad Pomroy got everyone dancing by leading the Chicken Dance and the Macarena. It was a sight to see! Dancing continued throughout the evening. A few games were played, but the majority of people were having too much fun catching up with each other.
A selfie/photo station was ready for attendees to take photos to remember the evening.
Afer a 10-second countdown at 9pm (midnight in New York) we had a champagne toast while Auld Lang Syne played. Attendees continued dancing, playing games and socializing. Clean up followed at 9:30 with everyone pitching in.
We’d like to thank American Party Place (www.americanpartyplace.com) for their donation of tables, linens, pipe and drape, music system, champagne fountain, and champagne glasses. A huge thank you to those who helped with setup and cleanup! Many hands make light work and your assistance is much appreciated.
