Our heartfelt thanks to our awesome, hardworking, art vendor committee volunteers, who assisted the artists in every way possible.  Also, a big shout-out to the Security Crew, who were extremely helpful in expediting unloading & loading of artist booths.

Finally, a big Thank You to Kelly & Cindy Granger of Fair Harbor Marina, for hosting our festival.  The beautiful setting helps make it a wonderful community fundraiser & popular summer event.

Comments from GCA President:   BARRY KIRKEENG  On behalf of the GCA, thank you to all the GCA members who volunteered at the Grapeview Water and Art Festival.  The flowers on the tables were a big hit, which many guests were able to take home at the end of the festival.  What a treat for them!  It’s the many small details that help to make the GCA Water and Art Festival such a popular and fondly remembered event.  In addition to the flowers on the tables, our guests were treated to clean tables, and were pleasantly surprised when members asked if they could take their empty plates to the trash for them.

Thank you to the Granger's for continuing to let GCA use the Fair Harbor Marina for this very popular community event.  We look forward to continuing to partner with Fair Harbor Marina in hosting this event for years to come.

The Kids really had a blast!  From face painting, crafts, boat building, to fishing, and going to the Fair Harbor Marina Store for ice cream.  What treasured memories were created that day!

A special thanks to the firefighters from Fire District #3 and the Mason County Sheriff’s Department for their services and helping keep everyone safe.  Also, thanks to the Port of Grapeview for the golf and restroom areas.  Thanks also to all the local business that donate, discount items, and support the Grapeview Water and Art Festival.

So, thank you again to one and all, that put in the effort to set-up, take-down, bake the cobblers, serve all the delicious food, direct parking, sell tickets, host the vendors, haul the trash, provide safety and security for our guests, sell cookbooks, T-shirts, posters, floating golf activity and took care of all the details that made the day special for our community.  All this was done with friendliness and graciousness and should make us all proud…. and really tired for a few days.

Comments from Art Festival Chairs:   JULIE & MIKE CREIGHTON  The Festival Art Show was very successful!  With 55 artists represented in 48 booths, including 8 new artists, a wide variety of high-quality arts & crafts were exhibited.  We continue to have a high percentage of repeat artists & many of them say that ours is their favorite festival due to friendly volunteers, assistance in booth set up & take down, reasonable registration fee & high turnout of fair goers.  The ATM at the Fair Harbor Marina store was much appreciated.

Comments from the Art Vendor's tell the story .......

“This festival is tops!  Lots of people having a wonderful time in a great setting.  Friendly volunteers who are such a joy & their help is much appreciated.  Good music too!  I have customers who are saying “See you next year.”

“Please convey our thanks to your Art & Water Festival coordinators and volunteers. The festival is always so well organized and a real pleasure for us vendors, and the public too!”

“In 14+ years, I have never felt as valued and appreciated for being a vendor.  Now, I understand why the artists I know look forward to participating every year.  The Grapeview Water & Art Festival has jumped to the top of my list! ”

“It was like a big block party on the water. I look forward to attending again next year.”

GCA Water and Art Festival volunteer coordinator, Val Paulson, reports that more volunteers are needed. Until activity coordinators report, it is not known exactly how many or in what areas. In general; areas needing volunteers are set-up, take-down, children's activities, food booths and security.  If interested in volunteering, please contact Val Paulson at 360 275-6764 or Click here to Email Val
