GCA Second Friday Membership Socials

One of the more popular, member get-together opportunies we have are the GCA Second Friday Membership Meetings, which include potlucks and themed socials.  These socials are open to GCA members and their guests and provide a great way to encourage our friends and neighbors to join the fun:

  • Potluck Dinners - Bring a dish to share, beverage of choice and your place settings (place mats, flatware, plates, napkins, etc., cups or glasses.)
  • Social Theme Dinners - Fully prepared and everything is provided -- bring anything special you want to drink ($7.50/person, $5.00/child or $20.00/family)

Become a member and come to a Social, or come to a Social to become a member!  Here are membership details and a membership form.  For additional information you can call Sandy Carlson at 360-275-5024 or e-mail theteacher@wavecable.com.

A complete list of the GCA Members, standing meetings and events will be in your membership directory, which you receive when you join.  You can join at any time during the year.  To have your personal info added, updated or removed, please contact Sandy Carlson at 360-275-5024 or e-mail theteacher@wavecable.com.

GCA Board Meetings & Study Sessions

The GCA Board Meetings (even months) and Study Sessions (odd months) are on the First Thursday of the month starting in January and are attended by the Executive Board and the Standing Committee Chairs.

Most of the GCA business is conducted at these meetings except on two occasions:  the election of officers in November, always held at the Second Friday Chili Cook-Off Potluck, and at the January Potluck, when we have the installation of new officers and when the Board reports the previous year's business to the membership.

All GCA members are invited to attend the 10:00 AM meetings which are held at the Horton Community Center.

A BIG GCA CRAB FEED THANK YOU!

February 8th, 9th & 10th were the nights of our annual Grapeview Community Association Crab Feed.  This years crab feed was another successful event as all three evenings were sold out with plenty of crab enjoyed by all!

The GCA Crab Feed is an important fund raiser for our association as the proceeds benefit a number of great causes in our community,  An event of this magnetude requires the planning and work of a number of very talented GCA members and volunteers - thank you all for your dedication, expertise and time in making the 2018 Crab Feed a huge success!  Our volunteers always have a great time serving and taking care of our guests, so don't miss this great volunteer opportunity next year.

We are also fortunate to have great support from a number of local businesses.

This year we thank and acknowledge:
Mason County Garbage for donating 2 large dumpsters and several recycle bins to handle our debris.  The value of the receptacles as well as delivery and pick-up is a huge benefit to the GCA and we are grateful to be associated with this fine company.

Taylor Shellfish once again provided the ice to keep our crab nice and cold during the 3 day event - Thank you Taylor Shellfish!

The following businesses and individuals all donated to the famous baskets designed and put together by Mary Baker and Pat Winckoski for raffle each eveninng. Special Thanks to:

Shae & Dale Oien of Oien Construction
Gordon & Sheila Daviscourt of Stitch In Time
Dick Vlist Motors, Inc.
Beachcombers Garden Club/Grapeview – 3 baskets
Vicki Phillips – GiggyBaskets on Etsy
