Coming Summer of 2018!
A New Edition of "A Taste of Grapeview"

It seems we have enough interest to re-publish an updated and expanded version of A Taste of Grapeview, the GCA cookbook that was printed in 2012. To make this happen, we need your participation. So, here’s what you can do…

The original and on-going focus of this popular cookbook is to share recipes for dishes served at GCA or other community events, such as potlucks, neighborhood gatherings, picnics on the beach, book or garden club meetings and, of course, poker nights; and to feature favorite “tried and true” family recipes of GCA members.

Recipes that did not make the first edition…
If you submitted a recipe the first time and it did not get included, please resubmit if you still like it and think it fits the GCA focus. It will have priority to be included this time round.

New Recipes!
Of course, we are also interested in new recipes, especially those that have a “story.” Including stories, if there is one, helps to make our GCA recipe book so special and unique. Note: If you submitted lots of recipes for the first edition, please limit your submissions this time round to give others a chance to be included.

Wondering what to submit?
In addition to seeking local recipes and ones from family gatherings, the cookbook will be improved with submissions that fill in some of the following gaps.

  • Award-winning chili or pie recipes and/or recipes from GCA themed dinners and potlucks that got rave reviews, but were not in the 2012 edition.
  • Recipes that are clearly labeled as “allergy free” in some way (e.g., gluten or diary free) so we can expand options for folks who need to avoid certain foods.

When and How to Submit Recipes: Deadline is March 15!
Please send your recipes, both re-submitted and new, either as an attachment or embedded within the email to Teresa Stone at by March 15, 2018. We request no handwritten recipes. There just isn’t enough time to type all these up.

Note: Recipes may be edited for space and clarity and not all recipes may be included. If this happens, we will contact you and keep the recipe on file for future publication. Some recipes published in the first edition also may be eliminated to make room for new ones.

Errors and Omissions . . .
If you detected any errors or omissions in the original cookbook, please email the title of the recipe, the page on which it appears and the error(s) to: Debbie Olig at
