The Grapeview Community website is your source for Grapeview Community information and is sponsored, supported and maintained by the Grapeview Community Associaiton (GCA). Check the events in the calendar above to see the local community activities for each month. If you have any event of community interest and would like to have it posted, please e-mail a .doc or .docx file to grapeviewwa@aol.com.
The most popular events are the GCA Second Friday membership meetings which include potlucks and theme socials. These socials are open to GCA members and their guests and provide a great way to encourage our friends and neighbors to join the fun:
Potluck Dinners - Bring a dish to share, beverage of choice and your place settings (place mats, flatware, plates, napkins, etc., cups or glasses.)
Social Theme Dinners - Are fully prepared by GCA members and everything is provided -- bring anything special you want to drink (cost: $7.50/person, $5.00/child or $20.00/family.)

All Socials are held at the Horton Community Center on the "second Friday" of the months listed at 6:00 PM. The New Years party is on New Years Eve starting at 8:00 PM.
January - Installation of New Officers and Potluck
March - Irish Stew and Clam Chowder Dinner and Social - $5.00/person, 3.00/child or $15.00/family
April - Heritage Dinner Potluck
May - Fiesta Dinner and Social - $5.00/person, 3.00/child or $15.00/family
July - BBQ
September - Potluck - Come and be part of the Pie Contest. Along with your dinner dish of choice, bake your favorite pie to be judged by a panel and then will be served to the members for dessert.
October - Oktoberfest Dinner and Social - $5.00/person, 3.00/child or $15.00/family
November - Annual Election of Officers and Special Chili Cook-off and Potluck. Potluck dishes needed are:

Note: Crab Feed tickets go on sale at 5:00 PM (one hour before social/dinner.)
December 31 - New Year’s Eve Party – Horton Community Center 8:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Bring a snack to share, your beverage of choice and a game to play (if you like).

GCA Sponsored Annual Fundraisers and Community Events
The Crab Feed and Grapeview Water and Art Festival, both yearly events, are fund raisers that support the GCA’s Community Outreach Programs; donations and scholarships made by the GCA for the betterment of the community.
February (Thursday, Friday and Saturday - second weekend in February) - GCA Members' Annual Crab Feed - 4:30 - 5:00 PM is the social hour. 5:15 PM dinner is served. Held at the Horton Community Center. Tickets are $25.00 per person. BYOB and mixer, ice is provided. Tickets go on sale at the November Chili Cookoff and Friday and Saturday nights are usually sold out immediately. Plan to attend the Chili Cookoff if you wish to obtain tickets. Contact Louise Okonek the GCA fundraising chairperson at 275-2542 for info on how to volunteer. GCA members and guests.
July – Grapeview Water and Art Festival “is always the last Saturday in July” – 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM @ the Fair Harbor Marina. Contact Louise Okonek, the GCA fundraising chairperson, at 360-275-2542 for further info or to volunteer. All visitors are welcome.
December (First Saturday) – Children’s Party “Snacks with Santa” - 10:00 am – 12:00 PM - Horton Community Center (all children and their parents are welcome to attend.)
Grapeview Community Association Board Meetings and Study Sessions
Most of the GCA business is conducted at these meetings except on two occasions: the election of officers in November is always held at the Second Friday potluck/Chili Cook Off and at the January potluck when we have the installation of new officers and when the Board reports the previous year's business to the membership.
All GCA members are invited to attend the 9:00 AM Board meetings which are held at the Horton Community Center.
